I like your bike verry much, i like the way the frame is built and the color schedule. but how doe's the maxxis minon handle because i am thinking to put them on my bike
Whatever, I never raced there either but pin it all the way. I can bring you a front brake just in case if u want. We will just use your adapter and rotor. What makes your brakes sketch??
it was def a gunshot. forks are sold long ago. i think there are open dropouts and disc brake tabs on the frame so any disc wheel with 10mm axle or QR should work. the frame comes with a 5.5" fork, so putting 7" fork would make the headangle too slack for a good ride as well as be in danger of ripping the front of the frame apart. i used a 66ata on mine, which is adjustable travel from 5.5"-7"and i ran it at 6". don't put dblcrown on hardtail, no barspins!
hey bud. i bought the complete, but i only used the frame and headset to ride. fork, wheels, and drivetrain were all upgraded for my oversized destructive riding habits. i was very happy with the strength and ridability of the frame. i hucked it proper and hit up all of our full DH trails on it and it held up great. i got the first year version and have seen the later versions and they're even better. (headtube junction is stronger) guys try to poo-poo konas, and they're not THE best, but its a great bike, nothing wrong with it. i replaced the headset bearings after a season of extreme abuse, but they were'nt expensive. good on you to start with a hardtail, your riding skills will prosper if you keep up the hardtail style. i've been injured lately (gunshot to the face) but i do about 75% of riding on a hardtail. check out my airtime pics for the 5-0 in action. ride on!
